This photo was taken at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico.  Following a late afternoon   rainstorm, Sandhill Cranes flew to a small lake where they roosted at night.   Birders enjoyed watching the long lines of graceful cranes across the colorful sky.
