Nebraska is mostly a place you pass through to get somewhere.  The Sand Hills in western Nebraska, however, have pristine mixed grass prairie, and a nice high ratio of birds to people. This photo was taken in the Sand Hills near Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge.
