Blue-winged Teal winter only in the far south of the U.S.  Even in mild Oklahoma, we rarely see them on our Stillwater CBC.  This one was part of a small group on its way north, pausing in mid-March to spend a few days at Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge in northwestern Missouri.
